Sometimes music finds its ways by itself, without the rails of expectations or genres. When the duo quick belly movement (Michl Laab, git & Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka, bass) met with sax player Madeleine Dietrichstein and drummer Martin Tschatter in summer 2025, the encounter of four different personalities created an imaginary landscape. Laab, whose musical interests span across jazz, noise, hip hop and freely improvised music, creates freewheeling storylines, for which the music created by the four musicians makes the perfect landscape to live in. The result is a unique kind of sonic poetry, hovering between rap, contemporary jazz, noise, and experimental songwriting. The pieces each open a world of their own, sometimes intense, sometimes lyrical. The dense interplay in the band guarantees an intense listening journey.

Michl Laab is a guitarist and music creator who performs with bands such as kreHm and runs his own hip hop solo project "billig". Madeleine Dietrichstein is a sax player rooted in Jazz, world music and contemporary improvisation. Martin Tschatter (drums) has been a cornerstone of the Austrian underground music scene since decades, performing all kinds of music from metal to rock, noise and free music. Bassplayer Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka is blending classical, contemporary music with elements of sonic art and free improvisation to re-envision the character of her instrument every time she plays.
